COURSE IN REHABILITATION FOR MOVEMENT DISORDERS


From June 29th through July 1st 2017, the Center for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders at the Casa di Cura "Villa Margherita" in Vicenza - a center belonging to the Fresco Institute Network of Excellence in Italy - will organize a Course in Rehabilitation for Movement Disorders accredited by Italy's Continued Education in Medicine system.

MANOS BLANCAS CHOIR AT PALAZZO STROZZI


On Wednesday, May 31st at 5:30 pm a choral concert will be held in the Courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi featuring a group of young people with disabilities who will sing and "sign" the music in keeping with the practice of the Manos Blancas. For three years, these students have been attending the Music School of Sesto Fiorentino, home to the "Music without Barriers" Department, a center for educational, therapeutic, training, and research activities around the relationship between music and disability.

OPENING OF THE NEW “MOVEMENT DISORDERS AND PARKINSON’S DISEASE” DEPARTMENT AT THE CENTRO NEUROLESI BONINO-PULEJO


A new Rehabilitation Unit has been founded at the IRCCS Centro Neurolesi of Messina dedicated entirely to Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. The facility, which is naturally inclined towards research, is the only rehabilitative department entirely dedicated to such conditions in the south of Italy.

FIRST OPERATING MEETING OF THE NETWORK OF EXCELLENCE FOR PARKINSON’S DISEASE AND MOVEMENT DISORDERS


The first operating meeting of the Network of Excellence for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders, created by the Fresco Institute Italia, was held on Tuesday, March 21st at the Genoa Conference Center. The themes of the meeting were the Parkinson's Outcomes Project and clinical research.
